WELCOME!

Far up in the north eastern corner of Oregon there is a valley that seemed like heaven to the pioneers who first came over the long Oregon Trail. The Wallowa Valley is dotted with lakes, rivers, mountains, and small homey towns. Several of these towns have become known for their artisans.

Such an artisan is Russell Ford.

Russell has lived somewhere in the Wallowa Valley for more than 30 years. He built his first studio and kiln in 1990, and then built a new one when he moved. It's a simple studio (picture at right) that produces some exquisite art pieces.

Some of these beautiful pieces have been sold, and are here for example only. Russell can 'duplicate' a piece should you so desire. Since glass blowing is one of the art forms in which each piece is unique, no one piece will look exactly like another. If you like a style or size or color, simply contact Russell and he will be more than happy to discuss it with you.

Russell also makes some truly original beer 'steins' or glasses. There are examples at the bottom of the page.

NEW!! Russell has been working on something for a long time. As with all glass, this requires incredible attention to detail, as this is a fluid art form, and open to... well... variations.

Look at the result!

Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no back up.
Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?
